Caretakers trialling a range of recycling systems on estates

A trial has been launched on the Berner Estate to identify how improvements to recycling and cleansing can be made. The Council worked in partnership with Tower Hamlets Homes and Veolia Environmental Services to launch the trial. Caretakers are providing a range of recycling systems that have been specially designed for each block to make it safe and easy for residents to recycle. In order to allow the caretakers time to undertake the collections Veolia Environmental Services mechanically cleanse some external areas of the estate to the same standard as the surrounding roads.
