Capital Standards
The Mayor in partnership with 28 London boroughs, the Association of London Government (ALG), Transport for London (TFL), London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (LFEPA), the Metropolitan Police and the Environment Agency have developed a four year programme called Capital Standards. This four-year campaign aims to improve the cleanliness of London Streets and quantify the state of the street environment. Capital Standards includes a full cleansing enforcement and monitoring training package to ensure that borough enforcement staff are fully trained to engage in street environment enforcement activities.

Enhance
Enhance helps develop businesses and social enterprises that reduce London’s waste, reuse resources or work with recycled materials. The programme is supported by £4.8 million from the London Development Agency. It provides a free, one-stop-shop resource for information and advice.

Leave no Footprint
London Remade has launched, Leave no Footprint, as the solution to London's recycling infrastructure problem. It will expand capacity, create jobs and supply the market with materials ready to be made into new products. The vision is to transform the way waste is dealt with across London. New legislation, increased public awareness of recycling, climate change issues and rising waste disposal costs demand the transition from waste to resource management. Leave no Footprint will help London bury its landfill habit. |

London Environmental Support Service
The London Environmental Support Service (LESS) is a pan London environmental business support service funded by the London Development Agency. LESS provides businesses in London with a simple way to access environmental information, advice and support and comprises a partnership of environmental support providers.

Londonwide policy
The Mayor has published a series of strategy documents setting out his policies for London on environmental issues such as waste, air quality, biodiversity, noise and transport. The Mayor is also developing policies on a range of other environmental issues important to London and has published strategies on water, energy and food.

Mayor of London's Green Procurement Code
The Mayor of London's Green Procurement Code is a free green purchasing support service for London based organisations committed to reducing their environmental impact through responsible purchasing. The programme is supported by £3 million from the London Development Agency.

Real Nappies for London
This is a new London-wide scheme to provide parents with an opportunity to try real nappies. If the London borough in which you live has joined Real Nappies for London and you have a child under the age of 18 months, you could be entitled to claim an information pack and voucher.

Recycle for London
The ‘Recycle for London’ education and promotion campaign, launched in 2003, was designed to provide a simple, single London-wide message to Londoners to increase awareness and participation in recycling. The campaign provides support to local authorities’ schemes and messages and all 33 London boroughs have supported the campaign since its inception. WRAP ROTATE
Advisory support on how to improve and expand local authority run recycling and composting services is available from WRAP through the ROTATE programme. This includes advice on communicating and promoting recycling services to residents and advice on operational issues and the collection options available. The support is available at no cost to local authorities.
