WEEE Flows in London
The WEEE flows model estimates WEEE tonnages for each London Borough based on data from the E-scope study (Coopers & Mayers, 1998-99) and an Axion School Survey in the London Borough of Ealing (2006). The model provides an estimation of household ownership, current disposal route, age at disposal and also details a breakdown of materials from common household WEEE such as fridges and washing machines. The model enables local authorities to have a better understanding of the amount of WEEE which could be potentially generated and disposed of at reuse and recycling centres in their area.
