The London Regional Strategic Advisory Forum on Waste

govofficeforlondon.jpgThe Government Office for London (GOL) hosts the Regional Strategic Advisory Forum (RSAF) on waste which aims to help improve communication between Government and local stakeholders. Representatives of key waste stakeholders meet on a quarterly basis and the forum plays a role in facilitating regional networking on waste issues.

Additionally, Defra’s Waste Implementation Programme (WIP), Local Authority Support Unit (LASU) has provided £150,000 from their Regional Strategic Fund (RSF) since 2004 which has been allocated by the RSAF to a wide range of projects aimed at driving up local authority performance on recycling. Reports about the implementation of all RSAF projects can be downloaded below.

In 2006/07 the Forum has a £30,000 budget from Defra's WIP LASU fund, to directly or indirectly support the work of local authorities in meeting their statutory targets. Projects should add value across the region and across a range of stakeholders.
