Bulky Waste
White goods such as fridges and washing machines can be recycled at the three Reuse and Recycling Centres. Hillingdon will collect bulky waste for a charge of £12 for up to four items or up to twelve bags of rubbish.
Hillingdon Community Furniture Store will collect reusable furniture and distribute it to people on low incomes. For more information call: 01895 256655 (Mon - Thurs). Furniture that is not in a reusable condition can be collected under Hillingdon’s special collection.
Schools Recycling
Schools can be provided with clear plastic sacks and participate in the kerbside collection in the same way as households.
Public place recycling
There is currently a trial of street recycling bins in Uxbridge. The scheme will eventually be rolled out to all main shopping areas and train stations.
Residual Waste
Residual household waste is collected weekly from the kerbside using refuse bags.
Commercial waste and recycling

- aerosols
- books
- cardboard
- glass bottles and jars
- mixed cans
- paper
- plastic bottles
- yellow pages
Trade waste is also accepted at the New Years Green Lane and Victoria Lane Reuse and Recycling Centres.
